Eze 3:17 Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.
Definition of a watchman- a guard who keeps watch.
Strongs- tsaphah, tsaw-faw' properly, to lean forward, to peer into the distance; by implication, to observe, await:-- behold, espy, look up (well), wait for, (keep the) watch(-man).
yesman- a person of unquestioning obedience.
A person who always agrees with his employer or superior.
A clear warning was given to the prophet Ezekiel. I have made thee a watchman. No one else but God Himself took this credit. Because it was the LORD who called and made Ezekiel a watchman, there were governing guidelines put in place to help Ezekiel understand who he was and what he was to do. It was also brought to his attention of what would happen if he did not do his duties.
Eze 3:18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
Ezekiel was told he would go to the wicked. Now look at who else he had to speak to,the righteous.
Eze 3:20 Again, When a righteous man doth turn from his righteousness, and commit iniquity, and I lay a stumblingblock before him, he shall die: because thou hast not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he hath done shall not be remembered; but his blood will I require at thine hand.
What do we do when we have a fellow brother or sister who we hold dear begins to falter? Do we hold our tongue for fear of losing their friendship? Or do we stand as a watchman guarding the soul?
It would seem easier to go to a wicked person and show them their error. Yet what about an individual who seems righteous? Even our leaders who are over us. Nathan had to go to David. As a prophet Nathan was first subjected to God. If Nathan would have lost sight of who God is and what he was called to do, he very well may have become a yesman to David.
Yesmen are useful to God if they are fulfilling His will. Yet a yesman to man is unfit for the Kingdom if we bring ourselves to a loyalty to man over our loyalty to God. We must not become fearful of losing friends or position for speaking what we have been commissioned or commanded to speak to another. If we do, we will lose our place in the Kingdom of God.
Re 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
When Ezekiel did what he was commanded to do he was told he would be safe from guilt.
to the wicked

Eze 3:21 Nevertheless if thou warn the righteous man, that the righteous sin not, and he doth not sin, he shall surely live, because he is warned; also thou hast delivered thy soul.Remember
