Proverbs 25:2

Real meanings of scripture only happen once we get past the surface and our own personal interpretation.

Over the years, I have endeavored to see the real meaning of many scriptures improperly preached or taught.

Here is one that might bless the meat eaters.

Proverbs 25:2  ¶ It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter.

This has been understood by some to mean the revelation of God's will in his word, where there are many things concealed in parables, allegories, metaphors, similitudes. There is a number though that favor that this means that God hides His dealings with humanity in how He does not expose the acts of man. In God Covering, He is Glorified.

Some say it is the honor of a king to search out a mystery. While there are those who hold it is the honor of a king to search into and expose the secret acts of man or fully search out a matter in regards to judgment before declaring out a matter. It is also the honor of the king to search into the Word and find out for himself how to conduct himself.

There are unsearchable mysteries that can and will never be able to be UNVEILED to man. Vs 3 says Pr 25:3 As the heavens for height and the earth for depth, So the heart of kings is unsearchable.

The subjects of a king can no more understand all the workings of the heart of their king than they can understand the height of heaven or the depth of the earth.

In the same way man cannot understand the dealings of God for God Conceals and gets Glory. Just like He covers the sin of man and is Glorified by that act. The word conceal means cover.
God Conceals
1. Mysteries
2. His Judgments
3. Sins of men

King's Search
1. Wisdom
2. Proper Judgment
3 Dealing with man and truth, motives

In regards to the Mysteries of the Word, those who are on the inside of the faith are meant to know and understand. Only those who sit on the outside is it a mystery. For those in the faith it becomes a revelation.

The word Mystery of musterion means to shut the mouth. Now that we are in Christ the mystery is revealed meaning these things are no longer bound up. They are readily available to us.
Mr 4:11 And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the MYSTERY of the KINGDOM OF GOD: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:

De 29:29 The secret things belong unto the LORD our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.
Yet those things that can be searched out will cause a man to receive Honor.

The Annotated Bible Notes says It is the glory of God and the prerogative of He who is Supreme and Infinite to conceal the reasons of His conduct.

An earthly king may have his state ( private council ) secrete but his judicial decisions should be pronounced only after full and public inquiry.

In this Solomon received Honor after a full inquiry in how to handle the two women fighting over the child. 1 Kings 3:16-28 Solomon, searched out the matter. So now we find that this is not just in regards to GREAT MYSTERIES of the Bible, but of learning practical approaches of Judging situations and applying wisdom as well.

May We All Search Out a Matter and Receive Honor.

Pastor Jesse

Corporate Intercession

When we are called to pray we must learn the different approaches to intercession.
Not every prayer meeting will look the same.

We must understand our position and authority when we pray.
We must understand our sphere, metron, bishoprick or territory.
We must know the level of authority on those we are laboring with.
We must understand while everyone can pray not everyone can speak from the Kingdom to the Earth.

Are we to travail, groan, birth to release change?
Are we to repent?
Are we to decree and declare and speak to mountains?
Are we to supplicate?
Are we to make inquiry?
Are we to cry, wail, lament or mourn?
Are we to prophesy?

To many times emotionalism and feelings can overide the desire of the Holy Spirit based on what we like versus what is needed.
When we like a certain flow we can begin to quench and grieve the Holy Spirit when He is trying to move us in heart and spirit to see, hear and then speak on a new or different level.

Prayer groups can become conditioned to operating in a certain way as a path has been made spiritually over the years that becomes too familiar.
Intercessors can become familiar losing the reverance and fear of the Lord.
There must be a standing on guard against becoming lifted, prideful, arrogant believing they are the all knowing go to point for everything God.

True intercession invites the Holy Spirit that opens the door to the prophetic.
That means people see and hear and may even flow under unction to speak.
Yet this does not mean that these vessels stand in offices as prophets.

Many prayer groups come under strong demonic backlash as these well meaning prayer warriors violate spiritual protocols that would have kept them safe under the Shadow of the Almighty.

We must keep an open sensitivity to what is on the heart of God and what burden He wants to place on our prayer assignments.
We must stay our lane in calling, offices, assignment, anointing and experience.

Find out before the Lord as you begin the assignment.

1. What do we need to repent over? Any unrepentant sin allows for accusation from the enemy. Does anyone present have issue with another person in the room?
Do the individuals present have clean hands and a pure heart?

2. Who are we to pray for? What is the motive? Are we praying vindictively or out of wounds hurt or rejection about a situation or person or out of the mind of Christ?

3. Are we to pray, intercede, make petitions, inquire, supplicate, wail ...etc? What should our posture be?
 1 Timothy 2:1  I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

4. What is the mood of the Lord? What does He want to hear for praise and worship?

Does He want just the voices of the people? Does He need High Praise just devoting Thankgiving to Him? Does He want soft worship? Does He need us to warfare or does He want us to be still and know that He is God?

a. Exodus 14:14 Hold your peace
b. Judges 1:1-2 Judah goes first

5. Ask the Lord to reveal His intercession from Heaven.
Romans 8:34 Christ is at the Right hand of God making intercession for us. One of the greatest ways to breakthrough is to surrender, agree with His Word and what His intercession is for us.

6. Ask for the mind of Christ. The carnal mind is enmity toward God. Romans 8:7
To pray from the flesh goes no further than the distance the person voice can be heard. It. carries no anointing or authority because it resists the wisdom of God.
Has everything that exalts itself above the knowledge been cast down by those present including in our own minds.

7. Is there a genuine surrender? James 4:7  Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.

8. Are there spirits of usurption, undermining, elitism, competition, division, segregation, gossip, slander, isolation, racism, feminism, male ego in operation?
If these are in the midst it will not be long before the spirits of assumption and speculation tear the meeting apart.

9. Is there Love, Peace and Grace present? Is Shalom present where the desire is to make sure there is nothing missing, broken or lacking with everyone?
Is restoration amd reconciliation both vertical and horizontal?

10. Who gets the Glory? He gives us His Glory that we might be one with Him not highlight ourselves, gifts, callings or group.

Usurption and Undermining Authority

Absaloms ambition and self promotion became his demotion.

In the Kingdom we must learn to not
Undermine nor Usurp authority.
Instead we must learn how to Uphold and Undergird them.

In return, we will receive honor instead of dishonor.

We must learn how to walk backwards like Japheth and Shem to cover fathers and leaders instead of exposing them like Ham did Noah. Genesis 9:22-23

Our actions will reveal more about ourselves and our hearts than it will about what we try to expose, criticize or belittle in others.

Absalom became frustrated and felt his counsel would be better for the people. He wanted to be in charge and it irritated him that he wasn't.
2 Samuel 15 gives a detailed account of Absaloms actions and deceptions

1  And it came to pass after this, that Absalom prepared him chariots and horses, and fifty men to run before him.
2  And Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate: and it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him, and said, Of what city art thou? And he said, Thy servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.
3  And Absalom said unto him, See, thy matters are good and right; but there is no man deputed of the king to hear thee.
4  Absalom said moreover, Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man which hath any suit or cause might come unto me, and I would do him justice!
5  And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do him obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.
6  And on this manner did Absalom to all Israel that came to the king for judgment: so Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.

He felt he would and could do better than his father David.
He lied and said no one would hear them for the king.

He seduced the heart of the people and created sedition. He wanted to shift the people to his loyalty. His actions split the Kingdom. This same heart and spirit divides families; churches, businesses and communities today.

Frustrated counsel will only unsettle the people and make them lawless when they defect from true God given authority.

In the end it is revealed he lost his heart and mind. His head got caught in a tree. He was left suspended between heaven and earth.

2 Samuel 18:9
Then Absalom met the servants of David. Absalom rode on a mule. The mule went under the thick boughs of a great terebinth tree, and his head caught in the terebinth; so he was left hanging between heaven and earth. And the mule which was under him went on.

This was a picture of what he had done when he defected in his heart. He was no longer grounded in righteousness or loyalty.
He had lifted himself up.
He had broken off from not only the King of Israel but from his own father.
He dishonored not one but two positions in David his father.

We must guard our hearts from impatience, frustration or pride. These issues blind us to a place of self exhaltation and dishonor of leaders.

We are also blinded to the pain this causes fathers and leaders in the faith.
When Absalom died David said these words.

1 Samuel 28:33  And the king was much moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept: and as he went, thus he said, O my son Absalom, my son, my son Absalom! would God I had died for thee, O Absalom, my son, my son.

There was more lost through this ambition than could ever have been gained.

In the end we may have what appears to be momentary success but it will be short lived.

We must stay humble and let the Lord exhalt us in due season.

General Schofield's Address

Major General John M. Schofield, Address to the United States Corps of Cadets, 11 August 1879

On a ministry trip to Hawaii in 2010 we had a few moments where we were able to see some of the sights. One of those was a war museum that had a memorial of an address to cadets of the graduating class of 1879. I was so moved by this that I had to do some research and find out who this man, Major General John M. Schofield was.
So I Google him. As I was reading the address, I said to myself, "this sounds like the way Jesus would have wanted men to treat other men."

Come to find out he was the son of a preacher. Many leaders wonder why they have not won the loyalty of their followers and try so hard to force obedience out of them. I believe this address has much for us to learn from. Here is a segment of Major General John M. Schofield's address.

The discipline which makes the soldiers of a free country reliable in battle is not to be gained by harsh or tyrannical treatment. On the contrary, such treatment is far more likely to destroy than to make an army. It is possible to impart instruction and to give commands in such manner and such a tone of voice to inspire in the soldier no feeling but an intense desire to obey, while the opposite manner and tone of voice cannot fail to excite strong resentment and a desire to disobey. The one mode or the other of dealing with subordinates springs from a corresponding spirit in the breast of the commander. He who feels the respect which is due to others cannot fail to inspire in them regard for himself, while he who feels, and hence manifests, disrespect toward others, especially his inferiors, cannot fail to inspire hatred against himself.

How many leaders have failed to strengthen those that are weaker in faith, lacking in knowledge and distant in relationship with their God?
Instead, a condemning attitude comes forth and makes individuals feel less than they should. Many times causing them to be discouraged to the point of giving up.
May we learn from this address and begin to do as the Lord. The Lord helped Peter regain his confidence after Peter denied Him. Do you love (Phileo or friendship love) me? Do you love(phileo) me? DO YOU LOVE(Agape the highest kind of love, unconditional love ) ME?

The Lord knew Peter loved Him deep down on the inside. May we as leaders see the condition of the heart before we judge their actions. More love will help one overcome their failures and help them not feel inferior.

Joh 21:15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Are we encouraging others, or are we discouraging others by how we treat them?
