What Is In Your Hand?

So many people say " if I had such and such I would do this or that." The question is not "what you don't have, but what do you have?"

God will take our little and increase it if we use wise stewardship. When God met Moses at the Burning Bush, Moses wondered how would he accomplish what the Lord was telling him because he felt people would not believe him.

Ex 4:1 ¶ And Moses answered and said, But, behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto my voice: for they will say, The LORD hath not appeared unto thee.

Look at the Lord's response.
Ex 4:2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod.

That same rod became an instrument in Moses hand all the days of his ministry.
This same rod was passed down to Joshua and down through the generations.

It is believed that this rod actually belonged to Abraham and was given to Moses by his father-in-law Jethro. It was to show God's continued Presence in the generations past, present and future who served the Lord.

In the hands of God, a little can multiply into much. Just like the five loaves and two fishes in Matthew 16:17 the Lord can increase the little you have if you place it into His hands.

One must be a wise steward with what they already have. The Lord already knows what you do not have. He wants to see what you will do with what you do have!
We see that the Lord was testing His Apostles in John 6:5

John 6:5 When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
6 And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.Is the Lord testing us to see what we will do? Many times, we have to go through something to see if we believe and what is it exactly that we believe!

When the Apostles became shaky in their faith after this miracle, Christ asked them, Mt 16:8 Which when Jesus perceived, he said unto them, O ye of little faith, why reason ye among yourselves, because ye have brought no bread?
9 Do ye not yet understand, neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets ye took up?

What looked like an ordinary walking staff in Moses' eyes, became an extraordinary proof of his calling under the Authority and Anointing of God.
The fishes and the loaves became enough to feed 5,000.

Today the Lord is asking, "what is in your hand? Now place it in mine!" "I will prove to you that it is enough"
