Waiting on a miracle?
In the story of Lazarus in John 11, Christ did not immediately heal Lazarus or run to his aid.
However, once Christ arrived, He did many things before the full miracle came forth.
1. He groaned
2. He wept
3. He groaned again
4. He commanded the stone to be removed
5. He prayed
6. He then commanded Lazarus to come forth.
7. He commanded the people to remove the graveclothes
Christ seeing the people crying became troubled in spirit. This caused Him to GROAN inside. The Kingdom was triggered.
Nothing happens without groaning, tears, prayer and commandment
Before Christ could raise Lazarus from the dead, the stone had to be rolled away.
Before the people could see the fulness of the miracle, they had to participate by removing the graveclothes.
We must identify where we are in the process.
Do we need to groan?
Do we need to weep?
Have we groaned enough?
Do we need to command the stone to be rolled away?
Is it time to pray?
Have we reached the place where we can confidently with authority command a thing?
Who else are we to activate to participate in the process of the miracle?
Not every display of the Kingdom is instant.
Sometimes it tarries so everyone will know it was but by the Finger of God.
In His Love,
Jesse Griffin
