Broken Vessels

Unbroken vessels become bad examples to follow.

We stand in need of messengers, preachers, teachers and fathers that minister the Word of God from humility and meekness.

This place of brokeness looks like weakness. Yet, it becomes the place of God's great strength, might power, authority and wisdom operating in one who has endured being broken.

1 Corinthians 12:10  Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

In the wilderness, in the cave, on the mountain top one learns complete dependency upon Christ.
It is from this place we are able to not only find rest, but we find our resting place.
He becomes our all in all.

An unbroken person usually comes to rely on position, power, what they have, what they know or what they do for their identity.

As sons and daughter of God, our identity and validation comes from His affirmation and approval of who we are as His children.

It is from a state of being, not doing.
It is not that we know about Him.
We know Him and are known by Him

We  come forth as sons of God in calling, stewardship, Gifting, mandates etc .. by being birthed from relationship and Covenant with the Father first.

This comes from the place of breaking before the making.

As I like to say, " if we are not refined, we cannot be defined"
All gold and silver must be purified before it is ever poured into a mold to create jewelery or art.

Any precious elements not separated from base metals cheapens the value and quality of what is made.

It is this same pattern that plays out in the life of every believer.

The same way precious metal is refined and then defined, so are we.

When we stand before people, many times it is the unrefined and unbroken parts of us that talk louder than the part of us that is genuine.

It is because of mixture, that true value and worth many times is not seen.

An unbroken vessel carries traits of pride, flesh, false humility that appears as strength, but releases a false representation before the people.

This representation is then emulated and then imitated producing vessels dependent on man more than on Christ.

Even as Saul, first king of Israel stood head and shoulders over the people, he appeared strong.
We must learn to not look just upon the outward appearance of a person.

1 Samuel 10:23
So they found him and brought him out, and he stood head and shoulders above anyone else.

Yet, this unharnessed vessel brought great destruction and pain to Israel.
He was anointed with a flask,1 Samuel 10:1
He ascended immediately to the throne and power without any breaking or making.

 He was man made.

Meanwhile, David was on the backside of the fields tending sheep, fighting wild animals and writing songs. He was a man after Gods own heart.

When Samuel went to anoint the chosen one, he made the mistake of looking on the older brother.

1 Samuel 16:-7
It happened, when they had come, that he looked at Eliab, and said, “Surely the LORD’s anointed is before him.”

7  But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For humans do not see as God sees, for humans look at the outward appearance, but God looks at the heart.”

He was anointed with a rams horn by Samuel 1 Samuel 16:13.
David was 17 - 20 years before receiving the throne in Juadah. He was another 7 years before being crowned in Israel.
He was a broken vessel.

He was God made.

We see the difference in their approach to leadership and the influence on the people.

Saul used the people and extracted from them.

David covered the people and gave to them.

Saul saw the people as ones to serve him.

David saw himself as a servant to the people.

The impact a broken vessel will have on people is that it brings healing and virtue from Heaven.
Truth operates leading people to righteousness and humility allowing a sure foundation to be laid. It creates an atmosphere for obedience to be cultivated.
It builds strong covenant relationships because it was built on the Rock, Word and the Spirit

The affects of an unbroken vessel on people is that it produces more wounds.
Perversion and deception eventually flows from this camp. Lies operate creating more pride.
Rebellion begins to manifest more and more to the commandments of God.
It breaks covenant because it was built for self upon personality and flesh.

This become more evident when we compare the True Bride of Christ compared to the Harlot Church.

The true bride adores herself for the heavenly bridegroom and prepares for eternity with spiritual resources.

The harlot adores herself for seducing others to herself and prepares temporarily with natural resources

It is good to be naturally secure.
However, it does not benefit one to prepare temporarily and ignore eternity.

Vessels, broken by the potter, and Master of our soul, will weep over the unregenerate state of humanity. They see from the heart of God and it continues to break their heart.

The prophet Isaiah, seeing Christ in past tense 650 years prior to Christ's birth prophesied this.

Isaiah 53:2 He was despised, and rejected by people; a man of sorrows, and familiar  with illness; and as one from whom people hide their face. He was despised and we did not value him.

The irony of the one most rejected by man was most qualified by Heaven.

I pray we can see through the eyes of the Father.
Who has the Kingdom called, prepared, qualified and chosen as examples to the Body?

We might be surprised by Sovereign selection versus man's election.

Lessons in Leadership

Lessons in Leadership

Upon entry into Jerusalem, the crowd hailed Jesus shouting Hosanna.
John 12:13 People take palm branches and shout "Hosanna! Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel".

Seven days later they cried, "CRUCIFY HIM"

John 19:10   But they cried out, Away with him, away with him, crucify him.

At the mock tribunal, all of the disciples abandoned the Lord.
Mark 14:50 50  And they all forsook him, and fled.

Peter, who was to be the next in authority denied Him.
Jesus told told Peter about his denial in Matthew 36:34

Mat 26:34 Jesus said unto him, Verily I say to you, That this night, before the cock crow, you shall deny me thrice.

Peter believed he would never do such a thing.
Matthew 26::35 Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples

His speech and declaration even moved others to declare the same thing.

Yet, when the pressure hit, they could not stand.
The test strikes hard at them all.

Peter caves in under pressure when He is questioned in verses 71-74

Matthew 26:74  Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

Mat 26:75 And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly

People will shift if they do not get what they want from leaders. This was Judas issue, as He wanted a political Messiah to set on the physical throne of Israel.

These kind of shiftings are carnally and demonically inspired..

People will leave if they fear it will cost them something. In this case, their lives.

None the less, Messiah had to stay the course regardless of anyone believing on Him, following Him, or obeying Him.

He had to find Himself obedient to His Heavenly Father although almost everyone left His side.

Individual relationship and obedience to the Father is not predicated upon the praise or the approval of man.

It is determined by the will of God. We must embrace it.

In seasons of great testing it requires great faith and determination to not loose heart.

It is in these kind of moments that the Vision, Word and Voice of the Father must remain alive.in us to encourage us to press on.

Christ fulfilled His call so that we could become who we were created to be.
Had He decided to quit because of the unbelief of people, accusation, mockery and their disobedience, where would we be today?

Jesus prayed for Peter knowing what He would go through was only going to be temporary.
Judas heart was set.
Peter's heart was momentarily influenced.

Christ knew Peter would return and the brethren would need him.
Luke 22:31  The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have all of you, that he might sift you as wheat,
32  but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”

Someone will reap from our obedience and persistence.

Scripture tells us Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Even when we feel like quitting ... DON'T!!!

Find out what to do and do it WELL!!!

WE SHALL REAP WHAT WE SOWED IN TIME.

Character Before Charisma

Office
Gifting
Anointing
Skill
Talent
Revelation
Charisma

Should never be allowed to replace

Scripture
Obedience
Serving
Righteousness
Fruit
Holiness
Character

The Scripture says
1 Timothy 5:22  Lay hands suddenly on no one. Don’t be a participant in other people’s sins. Keep yourself pure.

Any time leadership commissions a person into a work and they are in sin, it falls on their hands.
Leaders will be charged for prematurely releasing a person into ministry.

They are charged for the damage it does to the Body of Christ.

In a desire for inspiration, revelation and the demonstration of the things of the Spirit, many have given passes to people who should have been sat down.

The Word tells us in

Ephesians 5
1  Be therefore imitators of God, as beloved children.
2  Walk in love, even as Christ also loved us and gave himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling fragrance.
3  But sexual immorality, and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be mentioned among you, as becomes saints;

In 1 Corinthians 5, the Apostle Paul had no problem with putting a young man out of the Church for sleeping with his father's wife, his step mother.

Now, with this said, many will be charged for bringing in perverts, adulterers, fornicators, gay, lesbian into their congregations to minister.

They might be anointed, so was the devil.
They might be called, so was Judas.

Yet are they delivered, healed, Baptized in the Holy Spirit, full of the Word, walking in the Fruit of the Spirit, Pure, Holy, and Righteous?

Are these people hiding scandal after scandal while preaching?

Many do not know they are celebrating people with unclean spirits.

Many do not discern they are supporting people with familiar spirits.

Every time they are allowed to lay hands, it opens people up to be influenced by something other than the Holy Spirit.

We will be charged before the Lord for allowing this.

Oh, they can sing ..... so.

Can they demonstrate a consistent lifestyle that Glorifies the Lord?

Every year they fornicate.
They have besetting sins and stumbling blocks of iniquity always before them.

We must stop letting them bring that mess into the House of the Lord just because they can preach.

Here is a hard admonishment and command from the Apostle Paul.

1 Corinthians 5:11
But now I have written to you not to keep company with anyone named a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner—not even to eat with such a person.

Stop giving validation to people whose lifestyle has disqualified them from inheriting the Kingdom.

Allowing perversion and rebellion a platform only spreads spiritual leprosy in the House of God.

When we see lust and rebellion running rampant in a place, it must be stopped.

Division, separation, divorce, and adultery in marriages could be a curse.

Sickness, disease and premature death could be due to unrepented sins.

In Revelation 2:18-29 we see the Word to the Church of Thyatira concerning Jezebel.

Early manuscripts called her the wife of the Pastor.

Aramaic Bible says
Revelation 2:20
“I have much against you, because you are tolerating your wife Jezebel who says about herself that she is a Prophetess, and teaches and seduces my Servants to commit fornication and to eat the sacrifices of idols.”

Most modern translations say, you allow or suffer that woman, Jezebel.

Here is the problem. No one used their authority to stop her. She was allowed to operate unrestrained. This allowed for her to do several things within the Body of Christ.

Self Exaltation- false prophetess
False authority - usurped order
False teachings- depths of Satan.
Seduction - produces fornicators
Idolatry - eat sacrificed things serving otherr gods

The Word says she was given time to repent of her sexual immorality but refused to repent.

Now, watch this! The Lord does not play when it comes to His people and His Body.

Because she refused to repent, the Lord will deal with her and everyone that was infected by her.

Rev 2:22 Behold, I will throw her and those who commit adultery with her into a bed of great oppression (sickness), unless they repent of her works.

When people start getting sick due to spiritual poisoning, you cannot cast it out or heal it.
It must be REPENTED OVER and Jezebels works must be renounced.

These seducing spirits prey on the unsuspecting and snares them in destruction.

As if that was not enough, the Lord then says
I will kill her children with Death, and all the assemblies will know that I am he who searches the minds and hearts. I will give to each one of you according to your deeds.

You messed with My children, now I will show you the Fear of the Lord.

We must stop giving the right hand of fellowship to those the Word and the Lord says clearly sit on His left hand.

The Others

THE OTHERS:
Concerning modern day prophets.

There is coming a day where we will mark the true prophet by several factors that seems to have eluded the modern day church in many places.

These marks include their message, rejection as well as persecution. They will also be branded by what they are commanded to and willing to confront.

As unpopular as this is, nothing changes without conviction. In order for there to be conviction, there must be confrontation.

We see Stephen in Acts 7 accurately recalling the history of Israel and the forefathers without incident.

That is until we read in verse 51

51  “You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do.
52  Which of the prophets didn’t your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.
53  You received the law as it was ordained by angels, and didn’t keep it!”
54  Now when they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.

He reveals the true condition of their hearts. In this, Stephen tells them how their fathers had persecuted the prophets. It is this same condition that caused them to betray the RIGHTEOUS ONE and became murderers themselves.

When true Word is preached, there will usually be only two types of responses.
1. Conviction unto repentance, producing Humility and brokeness.
2. The piercing of the heart that causes retaliation to the messenger. Pride, defiance, stiffnecked, hard heartedness manifests.

Mass acceptance of a person calling themself a prophet does not mean they are called as such or even have Kingdom credibility.
Heavens approval marks the carriers of this Divine calling with different qualifying factors.

By today's standards, being trendy, charismatic, motivational, or even inspirational may be acceptable to the masses. Yet, this does not qualify one as a prophet.
Prophets are not just revelational as many would relegate them to.
True prophets, by design, are confrontational.
It is this very nature that causes the true prophet to be highly misunderstood.
The ability for a prophet to understand God is a gift of faith He alone gives to the one He calls.
The prophet, in many cases can see and hear what no one else can perceive.
They are then given a commandment to speak the Word of God

They are called to be governmental.
Not only do they set order, they confront anything that is contrary to the Kingdom.
This causes them to also have a confrontational anointing.

Being Kingdom minded requires a Jeremiah 1:10 mindset to root up, pluck up, tear down and destroy before building and planting.

Anything not founded on the Word, leading of the Holy Spirit, Righteousness or Holiness becomes something that can eventually be confronted.

They challenge the kingdom of darkness.
They challenge the world.
They challenge the demonized.
They challenge the rebellious that call on the Name of the Lord.
They will even challenge the most obedient of Saints.

They are a plumb line set in the Earth to measure foundations and alignments.
They not only carry revelation.
They carry the authority of Christ by Divine calling. They demonstrate this through a lifestyle of Holiness, Humility and Christlike Character.

This authority to challenge the world as well as the Saints make them unpopular.
The demonized want them gone. The carnal and the rebellious in God's House will betray and murder many times before they will repent.

It is hard to reconvert one who has willingly chosen to pervert the truth.
This confrontation will cause them to experience great persecution.

There was a time true prophets and even the saints were marked by rejection, persecution, trials and the imprisonment they endured.

Being a true prophet, for the most part, will not make a person popular on a grand scale.

In Hebrews 11 the Scripture heralds the champions of the faith by the endurance they displayed to keep the faith.

In the beginning of Hebrews 11 we see those marked as having faith by their great obedience such as Noah and Abraham.

We see others experiencing great victories such as Gideon, Samuel, David and the prophets.

Hebrews 11:33  who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked out righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions,
34  quenched the power of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, from weakness were made strong, grew mighty in war, and caused foreign armies to flee.
35 Women received their dead by resurrection.

This is absolutely amazing. Faith is stirred and boldness is activated through reading the actions of these guardians of the faith.

Then we read this.

Others were tortured, not accepting their deliverance, that they might obtain a better resurrection.

36  Others were tried by mocking and scourging, yes, moreover by bonds and imprisonment.
37  They were stoned. They were sawn apart. They were tempted. They were slain with the sword. They went around in sheep skins and in goat skins; being destitute, afflicted, ill-treated—
38  of whom the world was not worthy—wandering in deserts, mountains, caves, and the holes of the earth.
39  These all, having been commended for their faith, didn’t receive the promise.

THE OTHERS.

The Word tells us that the world was not worthy of the presence of these ones whom they treated so harshly.

Whenever any level of faith is demonstrated, it will also stir up rejection and persecution.

So while they believed, preached and lived by faith, they did not receive the Messiah and the Promises at that time.

Yet according to verse 40, we have received what they believed for.

Now that is faith.

Whether we are accepted or rejected by man at the time makes no difference.

The Promise will manifest and we will get our reward.

The ultimate reward is the King and being an heir of God, not temporal things.
